Volunteer Corps insuring H2O gets to Thailand community

Squeezing one more trip to the beach in this weekend?

The Ford Volunteer Corps continues the Ford Motor Company legacy of Global Caring Month with the Thailand Clean Water Community Project. Hundreds of volunteers are set to rebuild the Chanthaburi water system for more than 3,300 residents. Repairs to storage tanks, installation of new water purifiers, as well as sinks and restroom fixtures are slated to be covered by the $200,000 grant from the Bill Ford Better World Challenge.

“Clean water is a necessity–a basic human right–that is not always readily available in parts of the world,” said Jim Vella, president, Ford Motor Company Fund. “This project goes to the heart of making people’s lives better as we start Global Caring Month by harnessing the power of our volunteers to improve their communities.”
